4 stars because although the beef mixture is delicious, it is overwhelmed by the amount of (excellent) mashed potatoes that are on top....it's a 2/3 potato 1/3 filling thing...and it should be just the opposite. Ended up scraping about 1/2 off to get a better balance. There is always a use for left over (excellent) mashed potatoes!

We love this perfect comfort food dish. It is a "one-pot" meal. You have everything you need in one dish, protein, starch and veges.
