This "casserole" was watery, more like soup. The tapioca starch must not have "kicked in" because there were many little white dots. Don't know if I chance to try it again. The arrowroot starch must also have dormant.

I love this entree as it reminds me of a French Onion Soup base. The chicken os tender and moist and if you have extra onion braising sauce left over it taste great on other meats the next day!

A great dish with tender pieces of chicken and good flavoring from the bacon. The honey and molasses add a nice touch of sweetness!

This really is a great dish. The bacon, honey, molasses and raisins give the chicken a much heartier flavor than usual. It's also sweet, but I'm sensitive to sweet since I've cut refined sugar out of my diet, and I find the sweetness pleasant and balanced. My husband has a more standard diet and he also loves this dish. It's one of the dishes that sold him on getting stuff at Eat Local.
